Domaine de La Vieille Julienne Chateauneuf-du-Pape Les Trois Sources 2013

Les Trois Sources is a single vineyard field blend made by La Vieille Julienne, a Demeter-certified biodynamic winery in Orange, France. They are rare in their rejection of a perfect grape varietal separation in the winery. Instead they cuvée everything, and the vineyard makes the wine here–it’s Grenache based, but also includes Syrah, Cinsaut, Mourvèdre and Bourbelenc, among others. This is polished in style, but still carries the classic French ‘sauvage’ countryside aromas of fresh flowers and wild herbs.
