Alberto Orte 'Atlantida' Tinto 2017

Alberto Orte has his hands in exciting winemaking projects all over Spain, making wines from Rioja to Catalonia to Andalucia. This wine is made from a nearly extinct grape variety called Tintilla, that Alberto and his team propagated to keep it from disappearing. Walking through these vineyards will coat your shoes and pants with chalk dust–they’re stark white. This is the classic soil of the Sherry region, and this is an exciting project making dry table wines in a region usually known for its fortified cuvées. We got 12 bottles of this for the entire year, and you get one of them.
