Domaine Berthaut-Gerbet Fixin En Combe Roy 2018
Amelie Berthaut is a rising star producer in Burgundy. Having begun to take over the family domain in Fixin, she's now making wine from several vineyards across multiple appellations including Grand Cru sites like Clos de Vougeot. I'm a huge fan of her work and I think she'll be considered one of the greats in her time.
This Fixin En Combe Roy is from a small village vineyard near the Berthaut home in Fixin. This receives 18 months oak aging, with 30% of it new, owing to the concentration and breadth of this cuvée.
