Crunchy Red Fruit Holiday Six
Sometimes in the midst of a holiday rush and a crazy run up to Thanksgiving and Christmas, we run out of certain cuvées that we've used for select boxes. Case in point, the Holiday Box. It's still going strong, but we needed to rotate in some new wines – some of them are fan favorites and the box is stronger for it.
We believe that wine brings people together. Our reason for existing isn't to become rich, or advance the cause of natural wine, or to drink nice things, although all three of the above would be nice. Our reason for being here and existing as a company is to bring people together. We desire that every bottle of Crunchy Red Fruit wine that gets opened is a chance to bond with new or old friends, to connect with family, or to further a personal or work partnership. Wine puts in work!
This year's Holiday Box aims to do just that–put in work at your gatherings by taking the guesswork out of wine shopping. This is for Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, Christmas, Festivus, Saturnalia and any other end-of-year holiday you celebrate.
Here's what's in this year's Holiday Box (we're offering a 3 and a 6 bottle box, three-bottle selections are denoted with an *):
- Gramona Corpinnat Brut Cava 2017* - a dry, brisk, five-year aged sparkling wine with notes of brioche, toasted almond and Meyer Lemon peel
- Font du Loup Côtes du Rhône Blanc 2020 - a high-altitude Grenache Blanc, Viognier, and Clairette blend, this is made by the formidable Ancha Bachas, and was featured in a recent Circle box. Very lush, but also brisk and stony
- La Comarcal DelMoro 2020 - Valencia, Spain delicious, high-altitude Garnacha from southern Spain. elegant and bouncy ripe red fruit.
- Josep i Pau "Synergy" 2017* - a Cabernet from Penedès, outside of Barcelona. Earthy and herbal, with beautiful dried black fruit notes.
- David Hill "Zero" Pinot Noir 2021* this is an outstanding Oregon Pinot Noir. Made by the illustrious folks at David Hill, it's proof that you can make a zero-sulfur wine and have it be every bit as vibrant as a conventionally-made one. This juice is tasty.
- Vöcal Sabroso 2019 // Lime Kiln Valley, CA - This is from a rare grape called Cabernet Pfeffer, which tastes like a cross between Gamay and Zinfandel, if that’s even possible.
these boxes are made to be accessible to all palates, and fun to drink! So gear up for holiday merriment with us, and take some wine with you!
