Yummy, balanced Bordeaux from a classic and restrained vintage. This has the old-school markings of graphite, sandalwood and cassis, and is a perfect food wine–something that often gets forgotten about when it comes to investment-grade Bordeaux and all the silly trappings that it entails. This is a cleanly-made, polished Cabernet Sauvignon blend that begs to be opened alongside a rack of lamb, beef stew or roasted vegetables.
