Libertine Wave Blaster Rose 2021

Jackson’s Notes: Veronica and Alex Neely are the faces behind Libertine wines, and wow what wines they are! This one was hard to miss when I first tasted it, not only because of the ridiculous technicolor label. Even the color of the wine would be impossible to miss on a shelf. 

Veronica is the genius in the vineyard, ensuring that fruit comes into the winery healthy and balanced, where Alex turns it into special cuvées like this one. Veronica and Alex noticed that they had both some leftover Lagrein (a grape from northern Italy) and a little bit of Scheurebe (from Germany), and rather than bottle either on their own, they blended them into this super-fun rosé.

Honestly I can’t write about their own wine as well as they can, so here goes: 

Notes from Alex and Veronica Neely, winemakers: It’s like the kool aid man busted out from the glass. Watermelon, strawberry, and raspberry OOOHHHHH YEAHHHHHH!!!

The Scheurebe gives it intense aromatics. The Lagrein provides a mouthwatering fruit punch. The end result is a phenomenal wine that is best consumed straight out of the bottle while cruising on a jet ski buck ass naked. Ride the wave. Feel the breeze.
