Vieux Telegraphe 'La Crau' Chateauneuf du Pape 2014

One of the most iconic, impressive Châteauneuf estates, Vieux Télégraphe has been imported by Kermit Lynch since the 1980s. This is what the Grenache grape tastes like in the right hands–an amalgam of smoked fruit, spice, flowers and dried herbs. 2014 was a balanced, elegant vintage, and is ideal to drink right now but you could also lay it down for a bit if you like.
Tasting note: baked cherry, dried orange peel, licorice
Food Pairings: Porchetta, cassoulet, roast chicken.
